A Brief Introduction to Water Resources Protection

Water Resources Protection is a bimonthly scientific and technical journal sponsored by Society of Environmental Water Conservancy of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and Hohai University, which is famous throughout China for its water resources expertise. Water Resources Protection is a Chinese professional journal that publishes academic or technical papers on water resources and water environment in the discipline of water resources protection. Each issue of the journal includes a table of contents in English, and each paper provides the title, name (s) of the author (s), an abstract, and key words in English.

Water Resources Protection focuses on the innovation, practicality, the characteristics of science and technology of the manuscripts submitted to the journal. All submissions experience a strict peer reviewing process. The published papers cover the latest research in the fields of the implementation of water function zoning and water source protection, optimal allocation of water resources, ecosystem protection and restoration, groundwater resources protection, technologies of water treatment and water environmental control, and water resources management. Water Resources Protection has recently focused on the issues of water pollution control, water environmental management and aquatic ecosystem restoration in rivers and lakes, and sustainable development and management of water resources in China.

Water Resources Protection was founded in 1985. The members of its editorial board are renowned experts and scholars working in water resources divisions in China, bureaus of water resources protection in the main basins of China, including the Yangtze River Basin, the Yellow River Basin, the Huaihe Basin, the Pearl River Basin, the Haihe Basin, the Songliao Baisn, and the Taihu Basin, and research institutes and colleges or universities, and they have made a great effort in selecting and reviewing papers in order to ensure the high quality of the journal.

Water Resources Protection is in the lists of Chinese Core Journals of Science and Technology (Journals of Statistics Sources of Scientific and Technological Papers in China), and RCCSE Chinese Core Academic Journals (by Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation). It is indexed in the well-known international database Chemical Abstracts (CA), and is included in full text in major databases including China Academic Journal Network Publishing Database (CAJD), Chinese Core Journal (Selecting) Database (Wanfang Data), and Chinese Scientific and Technological Journals Database (VIP).
